The Dose Makes The Poison

Frequently, humans either over- or underestimate what the natural world is capable of, sometimes assuming that "wild" is synonymous with "danger" or, just as problematic, that "natural" means "harmless". Most often, this sphere is some of each. These works, inspired by Victorian botanical drawings, represent a class of plantlife that have the distinction of being by turns helpful, pleasurable, dangerous or deadly, all based entirely on context and usage.
